THERE IS NO MORE FN CLAN.. PLEASE STOP APPLYING AND SENDING ME PMS

Q: I have been a Private for 3 weeks now…why haven’t I been promoted to the next rank?

A: Though you meet the minimum requirements with Time In Service, You may have short falls with your Performance.

Q: How do I improve my Performance?

A: Council and Command members adjourn meetings that discuss the performance of all members in the clan. Sometimes, sessions are held just within a certain Echelon and privately. We will consider your game skill and how you contribute to the clan out-of-game. Somewhere along the line, you will be confronted and informed that you must either improve something or you are being considered for promotion. We want ALL of our members to progress quickly. High performing clan members rock the house in game and out-of-game!

Q: Is it possible to receive early promotion?

A: YES! , Though you may be promoted to a certain rank faster than someone else…it is not possible to go from Regulars to Council or Council to Command without meeting the minimum Time in Service requirements UNLESS it is ordained by Command. You can be promoted from PFC to Corporal in 2 weeks but you still must spend 12 weeks in the Regulars Echelon before you can become MSG (Council). Remember there are 2 factors effecting promotions…. Time in Service and Performance, which both encompass several factors. You must meet or exceed all categories in order to move up in rank and posture.

Q: What’s the big deal about leadership roles and follower ship skills?

A: We want our members to participate and to have an impact that most can only dream. Our structure allows for this through leadership roles. Follower ship skills are equally important. If you can follow like a good soldier then you are capable of leading and your character and loyalty is flawless. We need loyal members that are dedicated so we have made these 2 topics important. Some of the things you will learn in this clan will benefit you in real life! Remember…we are a clan dedicated to its members.

Q: What about the rewards and recognition program…how will that effect promotions?

A: Many of you have heard about the creation of Medals, Ribbons, and Badges for the clan itself. In the future…these awards will assist in your promotion process. We are not sure just how we will include them but they will have an impact on your promotions and our over all rank structure. When you learn and earn…you receive your just award!

Q: Did you just conjure this document and just toss it out to us without careful consideration?

A: No, I drafted this document and then others review it in the Command Echelon. It is reviewed for pitfalls and shortcomings (as required by policy). It earns its fare share of criticism and has to meet clan vision requirements. Only after concurrence will it be “officially” released to the clan as “official”.

Q: I want to make a difference…what can I do!!!!????

A: Well, you can start by really caring. You need to care about the clan and its people, not only in the game, but also in real life. You need to care about policy, rank, rules, and orders that may be tossed your way. Then, you can start getting involved. Set some time aside in your schedule to do things that make this clan a great source of entertainment for everyone. Don’t think about what the clan can do for you…try to focus on what you can do for the clan. This can be tough…but its also possible and achievable. Others can testify that those who get involved move up quicker than those who do not.

Q: Trademark…how in the hell do you come up with this shit?

A: I’m not sure and even I surprise myself. Also…it is my duty as a Commander and GoA of Fear None  that I try to set the standard and do my job as outlined within this document and it isn’t me that simply comes up with all the ideas…it is our members who participate by giving feedback. Our members make up the whole of our vision. I can never forget this and no one in Command will forget this fact. We are dedicated to our members and wish to create the most entertaining environment for the gaming community and our team.

Q: What if I feel someone is breaking the rules?

A: Report them through the proper chain of command. This means take your case to the next ranking individual and if that individual doesn’t resolve the issue or is unavailable then you are cleared to go above him. Commanders carry heavy administration duties and if we can resolve issues at the lowest level then we know everyone is doing their job. Command DOES have an open door policy and you are free to discuss your issues with Commanders. Just remember, if you file a complaint… be prepared to hear a Commander gripe at you for not resolving it at its lowest level if you skipped the chain of Command.

Q: What if a member is harassing me or accusing me of hacking?

A: Harassment is not tolerated though we do joke with each other a lot… it is because we all have good relationships. If a member is taking it too far then try to stop it yourself and if that doesn’t work then go up the chain of command. We take disciplinary action towards members who disrespect others. Hacking is a very serious crime in [FN]. If you are accused or someone accuses you… you better not be cheating or have strong evidence that the other player is indeed cheating! We frown upon members who assume someone is hacking when in reality, the member just isn’t as talented as the other….yet. Commanders watch players closely in game and can generally tell when a player is bending the laws of fair gaming. Leadership also has other tools to utilize to verify potential hackers as well as investigative groups / ranks that can take action covertly… in the best interest of [FN] keeping a good name.

Q: How has this clan lasted for over the last year?

A: This clan has focused on relationships and consistent growth. We have a clan vision that drives Command at the top and is pushed all the way down to the newest member. We also have members in leadership that really do care and spend a great deal of time and energy writing policy, managing administrative duties, enforcing new policy, and simply put… co-creating this clan “as we go”. We have systems in place to ensure our survival and we run the clan similar to a business structure. We also utilize the talents of members when we recognize they have special skills. We recruit on that basis and we are excited about our members’ talents. I think it is safe to say that we have existed for so long because of a team effort that seems to permeate the whole.

Q: I really suck in game. Why did you recruit me?

A: We recruit on character and potential. We know, beyond a doubt, that we can take someone with good character and basic skills that are loyal and dedicated and convert him or her into some of the most elite players ever seen. It has been done before and we know it takes time. As you progress in rank… your in game abilities will sky rocket as long as you maintain character. Ordinary people with good character do extraordinary things through commitment and belief in [FN] concepts and leadership.

Q: I have a question that isn’t answered here in the FAQ… who do I talk to?

A: Your best bet is to talk to anyone in the Command Echelon or possibly another member in Council. We want to always keep our people informed. We have an open door policy where members have the opportunity to bring issues to the attention of top leaders. Our experienced members actually enjoy answering your questions and setting the record straight during conflicts. We are here for “YOU”!
